Well last menu was a success! My husband did not stick not the recipes I selected and actually made what pork chops he wanted but otherwise it was great week. So far Thursdays dinners need to be leftover night as that is our busy with activities from 4:30-8. This menu planning thing is actually working we enjoying healthy meals and saving money! We do from time to time have quick take out, like we had Potbelly’s last weekend after running errands. I feel like I could stench my shopping out to once every two with the exceptions of stocking up every week on fresh fruits and veggies. Whenever I take hubby in the store I feel like I buy more than we need, so I may have keep in busy at home with something else to fine tune my shopping and savings. So here goes this week’s menu…..
This week’s dinner menu:
Saturday, January 28st 2017 – Pizza with Fries (We don’t have a ton of leftovers so moved Chili Mac to Mr.Middle Schooler back from boy scout camping)
Sunday, January 29th, 2017 – Chili Mac (InstaPot)
Monday, January 30th, 2017 – Soup with Grilled Cheese
Tuesday, January 30st, 2017 – Tomato-Chile Pork Chops with rice (Instantpot) and Broccoli (Hubby made his pork chops last week and vowed to try my recipe this week)
Wednesday, Febuary 1st, 2017 – Ravioli with garlic bread and Salad
Thursday, Feburary 2nd, 2017 – Leftovers
Friday, Feburary 3rd, 2017 – Turkey Burgers with Salad
Saturday, February 4th, 2017 – Steak with Broccoli and Rice
I am Vegetarian (yes, just me) I picked up Calzones at Aldi for $1.99 so I have those for lunch and if I need more ideas then I will make egg salad to menu. For dinners I will eat Ravioli, Veggie BLTs, veggie sausages as a replacement of meat.
This week’s goal was spend less but we spent more… I make menu next based on everything in the house and only shop local for fresh veggies and fruits.
Mama needs wine just a few bottles to make this week!
