Well last menu was a BUST! We are lucky we did not eat out or do “extra” unneeded shopping trip. So this week was bust because we ended up with TONS of leftovers. My mother brought home Egyptian food (Yummmy) from a co-workers and the we had left over Chili Mac and just an overall very full fridge. So the reciepts you are seeing this week may have appeared last week because we did not make it! Thursdays dinner will be leftover night again since we are busy with activities 4:30-8. This menu planning thing is actually working we enjoying healthy meals and saving money! I feel like I could stench my shopping out to once every two with the exceptions of stocking up every week on fresh fruits and veggies, but its not happening this week. So here goes this week’s menu…..
This week’s dinner menu:
Saturday, February 4th, 2017 – Order in Chinese
Sunday, February 5th, 2017 – Brat’s on the Grill; snacks all day for Superbowl
Monday, February 6th, 2017 –Ravioli with garlic bread and Salad
Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 – Tomato-Chile Pork Chops with rice (Instantpot) and Broccoli (Hubby made his pork chops last week and vowed to try my recipe this week)
Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 – Pizza with Salad
Thursday, Feburary 9th, 2017 – Leftovers
Friday, February 10th, 2017 – Soup and Sandwiches with salad
Saturday, February 11th, 2017 – Grill Steak with Rice
I am Vegetarian (yes, just me) I picked up Calzones at Aldi for $1.99 (a week ago) so I have those for lunch and if I need more ideas then I will make egg salad to menu. For dinners I will eat Ravioli, Veggie BLTs, veggie sausages as a replacement of meat.
This week’s goal was spend less but we spent more… I make menu next based on everything in the house and only shop local for fresh veggies and fruits.
Mama needs wine just a few bottles to make this week!
